The Erdkugel is a hanging spherical nutrient ground for different plants. It allows a 360° growth without using a flower bucket and contains soil and gypsum. The seed is inside the mixture and grows out of the furrows. The core contains another globe and is empty. This hole grants the continuous and equal distribution of water. Running through the opening where also the ribbon is guided the water can pass small gaps inside of the empty globe. That’s the place where the water can drain into the soil and supply the outer plants with nutrients. This is how the terra incognita can be used as an adequate nutrient soil for different kind of plants.

At first there was a play with expectations. A scrutinize of the common opinions how things should be, what is right and what is wrong and the fascination of the unexpected. Erdkugel negates the expectations of how plants in your home are growing by removing the typical flower bucket and the gravity. It creates its own cosmos which grants a 360° growth while free hanging by being still fully functional. In the beginning there is just a meager and sterile planet which slightly evolves into a green paradise full of life. Every grown centimeter is fascinating. It allows the observer a completely new sight on one of the most normal things at all and guides him to a path where you struggle with your own expectations.
